Full in house training will be given and mentor support will be provided.

We are currently looking to recruit a first level nurse to join our team of committed Nurses to work as part of the larger multidisciplinary team, which includes Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers, and Radiographic Assistants.

The Interventional Radiology Department is a really exciting and interesting place to work as a Nurse. It is a very busy unit where patients undergo vascular and non-vascular procedures in all imaging modalities,including chest drains, nephrostomies, angioplasty and embolization.

Our Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory performs coronary diagnostic and therapeutic intervention, pacing and complex pacing procedures.

The successful applicant will rotate between the two areas.

We have a Band 5 vacancy for Nurses who would be interested in acquiring a range of skills including scrub, circulating, pre and intra –operative care and post recovery of patients undergoing radiology procedures. The role is demanding, varied and constantly changing; yet offers scope to develop and enhance skills and knowledge within a unique nursing environment. We have a Nurse led PICC line service and are looking to constantly develop the role of our Nurses within Radiology.

The post requires a team player who has a flexible and adaptable persona who also possesses excellent interpersonal, communication and observational skills.

A 24 hour on call rotation is in place once fully trained.
